Baptism creates full members of Christ's Church. Through this major initiation, we die and rise again with Christ into a new way of living and being. Those washed in the waters of baptism, anointed as stewards, prophets, and royalty, stand reborn before the community. This community in turn promises to stand by the newly baptized in support, prayer, and affirmation of the sacramental vows.
